Ten years ago, I walked away from a high- stakes career as a commodities trader. On paper, I had it all; financial success, industry recognition, a high-flying lifestyle. But inside, I was burned out, unfulfilled, and stuck in a cycle of chasing more without ever feeling enough.
The very traits that fuelled my success; perfectionism, an obsessive need to win, masking insecurity with arrogance, were also my biggest issues. My health suffered, my relationships strained, and no amount of achievement filled the void.
That experience changed me. It showed me that true success isn’t just about what you achieve, it’s about who you become along the way.
